1/25/26 God Is Crowing You in Destiny

  1. David mentions that God not only crowns the year with His goodness but also crowns each person individually. What does being “crowned with God’s goodness” mean to you personally?
  2. According to David , Adam and Eve lost their crowned glory due to sin, but Jesus restored it. How does this restoration change the way you view your relationship with God?
  3. The message emphasizes that a crown represents identity and authority in Christ. In what ways do you see or struggle to see yourself as a member of God’s “royal family”?
  4. David discusses “favor from the throne” and how God chooses, delights in, and empowers us. How can we recognize and walk in God’s favor even during challenging times?
  5. Discuss the idea that being crowned is a “declaration of destiny.” What do you feel is your calling or mission as described in Mark 16 and 2 Corinthians 5?
  6. The concept of being “fully equipped” in Christ is repeated throughout the sermon. How might this truth influence your approach to everyday challenges or ministry opportunities?
  7. David talks about having “the credentials, power, and authority” as representatives (ambassadors) of Christ. How do you experience (or desire to experience) this authority in your spheres of influence?
  8. In the teaching, David reminds the congregation that blessings from God’s throne are “final and unquestionable.” How does this assurance affect your confidence in God’s promises?
  9. “No weapon formed against you shall prosper” was quoted from Isaiah 54. How does this promise encourage you when faced with adversity or opposition?
  10. David shared his practice of daily affirmations about his identity in Christ. What declarations or truths about God’s goodness and your identity could you begin speaking over your own life?

David  [00:00:00]:

Good morning, everyone. Again. Welcome. So glad you’re here with us today.

David  [00:00:22]:

You know, last week we started looking into the fact that that not God not only crowns the year with his goodness, he crowns you with his goodness also. We started looking at the fact that Adam and Eve were crowned with God’s glory, with his goodness. And they lost that sin got in the way and messed all that up, and they lost all that God had given them in that crowning. Satan robbed it from them, their identity, their authority, all those things. And we’re going to be looking at that today. But the great thing, God had a plan. Amen. God said, all right, I see what you’ve done here, but I’ve got a plan.

David  [00:01:24]:

And so, because of Jesus Christ and His sacrifice and what he came and did for us, we got all that back. Jesus redeemed us and brought back to us everything God had given to Adam and Eve in the beginning. And so we have it all and more to come. Because God is always more and more and more every day, throughout eternity, forever and always. He is infinite and his goodness is infinite. And we’ve talked about as we’ve been working through this study the last few weeks, that his goodness, when you look at the definition of, is the essence, the full essence of who he is. So he’s crowning the year with all he is all his fullness. And he’s crowning you with all his fullness also.

David  [00:02:25]:

And we saw last week, as we began looking into this, a crown represents your identity and your authority. Praise God. And when God crowns you, it means you belong to Him. You were accepted by him. You were set apart for his purposes. And it means you have an identity in Christ. That crown signifies who you are, a child of God, a member of the royal family. And God places His glory and honor on your life.

David  [00:03:06]:

Because of this, you walk in God’s authority. And this is something only royalty can do. Which led us to talk about our second truth, which is this. A crown signifies from the throne. Let me say that again, Toby, so we can edit it so you don’t hear that. Which led us to our second truth, which is a crown signifies favor from the throne. God crowning us with his goodness is an act of favor from him to us. And what we saw that to be crowned with favor means I choose you.

David  [00:03:53]:

I choose you. To be crowned with favor means I delight in you. And we look at all the ways God delights in us. To be crowned with favor means that he empowers us. Hallelujah. You are empowered to function and power and authority with boldness and confidence. Hallelujah. Hallelujah.

David  [00:04:20]:

Unflinching authority, even in the face of opposition. God’s favor empowers you. Praise God. Praise God. Praise God. And so God surrounds your life with his favor, like a royal crown. Favor you didn’t earn, but he freely gives. And he has chosen you.

David  [00:04:46]:

He delights in you. He has empowered you. And you are crowned with his favor as with a shield. Hallelujah. Protection, authority, guidance. He shields you with his favor. Today we want to go on because there’s two more key truths here that I want to share with you about how God has crowned us. And so the third one is this.

David  [00:05:13]:

A crown is a declaration of destiny. When you were crowned, you were marked for a position, a calling, a mission. Mark 16, verses 15 through 18 in the New King James Version says, and he said to them, go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved, but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe in my name. They will cast out demons. They will speak with new tongues. They will take up serpents.

David  [00:05:59]:

And if. If they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them. They will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover. So what we see here in Mark 16, Jesus is calling the disciples. He said, I’m going, but you’re fully authorized to go in my name and my authority to the world. Take the good news to the world. So he’s positioning them. He’s calling them.

David  [00:06:33]:

He’s given them a mission. But it wasn’t only for the disciples. It was for the church at large, which includes you and I. We’ve been given a position, a calling and a mission to go into the world, all the world, and share the good news of the gospel. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. And here’s what it says. If we do this as we believe in it, we’re gonna.

David  [00:07:02]:

Signs will follow those who believe in my name. They’ll cast out demons. They’ll speak with new tongues. They’ll take up serpents. Hallelujah. We’ll see people healed. They’ll lay hands on the sick, and they will recover. All of that has been given to you.

David  [00:07:21]:

Have the author to walk in that in boldness and confidence, with courage. Hallelujah. Thank you, Jesus. Second Corinthians 5, 18 and 20. Let’s see what Paul said here, this is in the new King James Version also. Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is that God was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ as though God were pleading to us. We implore you on God’s behalf or on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.

David  [00:08:17]:

So we see as believers, we have been empowered to share the good news of the kingdom of God here on the earth. Christ has delegated his authority to us so that we can do the works he did. And in John 14 he told his disciples, you’ll do the works that I did. And even greater things than these. Paul went on to say that we’ve been given the ministry of reconciliation, the word of reconciliation. So we are ambassadors for Christ, inviting those we encounter to be reconciled to God, to come into this amazing relationship with him and share in all that he has for all of us. Let me say this. Your ministry of reconciliation flows out of your position and your calling and your mission in life.

David  [00:09:16]:

It doesn’t mean that you will be in full time ministry necessarily. It flows out of who you are and where you are. That could be business, education, government, medical field, the arts, sports, entertainment, ministry. It flows out of all of those expressions. Our invitation from the Lord is to partner with him and sharing the good news of salvation with everyone around us because we’ve been crowned with his goodness. Hallelujah. When God crowns you, he is declaring, you are equipped. Equipped means this.

David  [00:10:11]:

The complete furnishing of all you need to accomplish your calling and mission. The complete furnishing. You have everything within you you need to accomplish your calling and mission. Everything’s already there in Christ. Ephesians 4:12 in the Amplified. Ephesians 4:12 in the Amplified. And Paul says this. His intention was the perfecting and the full equipping of his saints, his consecrated people, that they should do the work of ministering toward building up Christ’s body, the church.

David  [00:10:58]:

Now look at that. The perfecting and full equipping. So the Lord, his purpose is to fully complete and furnish you with everything you need to accomplish your calling. Hallelujah. And I mentioned this. But let’s go back to John 14:20. You will know that I am in my Father, and you and me and I in you. So here’s what we find what Paul is talking about here in Ephesians Jesus is talking about here in John 14, that Jesus is in His Father, we are in Christ, and Christ is in us.

David  [00:11:44]:

So it’s all there. He said there in John 16, everything I have is yours, and the Holy Spirit will reveal it to you and bring it to you. Hallelujah. Colossians 2, 3. In the amplified classic, Paul says this. In him, all the in him, in Christ, all the treasures of divine wisdom, comprehensive insight into the ways and purposes of God, and all the riches of spiritual knowledge and enlightenment are stored up and lie hidden in Him. Well, he’s in me, and I am in Him. So that’s all stored up and hidden within me, because I am in him, and he is in me.

David  [00:12:31]:

If we are in him and he is in us, then we are equipped with all the treasures of divine wisdom, with comprehensive insight into the ways and purposes of God, and all the riches of spiritual knowledge and enlightenment. Enlightenment. This is all available to us. Talk about being equipped. Wow, guys, we don’t realize this and we don’t walk in it to our fullness, but we have everything that Jesus had. All that God has is ours now, and it is within us. And so not only are we equipped, he goes on to say this. You were commissioned.

David  [00:13:25]:

You have a commission that’s a part of a calling is to be commissioned. Commission means a full power and authority, the state of being authorized to act on behalf of the king and his kingdom. Hallelujah. You have the full right, the full power and authority. You are authorized to act on behalf of the king and his kingdom here on the earth. Jesus wants you to know this and to have the courage, confidence and comfort to use the credentials of the power of attorney. He has given us in the Word to go forth and do what he’s called us to do. And like I said, you may be doing it out in education, you may be doing it through as a mother, at home with your children and in your neighborhood with other mothers, you may be doing it.

David  [00:14:30]:

And whatever expression of work out there in the marketplace you’re in, you’re still empowered to go out and be a representative for the kingdom of God and His kingdom. Hallelujah. He has given us the credentials, the power of eternity. If we could see it, you’re suited with his credentials. Just like when we see a police officer, we know he has the credentials of the power of eternity, of the law, the city, the state, the nation he’s wearing. Yeah, look at that. He has given us all this. John 14, 12, 14.

David  [00:15:23]:

And this is from the new King James Version John says this. Most assuredly I say to you. Most assuredly, I say to you, Jesus is actually saying this. John wrote this. Most assuredly I say to you, he who believes in me, the works that I do, he will do also. I mean, we could stop right there and go, whoa, what are all the works Jesus did? I think brother Keith Moore has a message on this. And there. I forget how many there are that they’ve documented there in the New Testament, but all the works that he did, we will do also.

David  [00:16:03]:

Wow. But then he goes on and says this. And greater works than these will he do. You are empowered to do greater works because he said, I go to my Father. So you’re going to be here on the earth representing me. I delegate all this power and all this authority to you. And whatever you ask in My name that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.

David  [00:16:45]:

There’s no question here, guys. He’s empowered you. We simply have to come in faith and confidence, knowing that he is with us. Ephesians 1, 1822. In the Amplified Classic, Paul says this. By having the eyes of your heart flooded with light, so that you can know and understand the hope to which he has called you. And how rich is his glorious inheritance in the saints, his set apart ones. And so that you can know and understand what is the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of his power in and for us who believe, as demonstrated in the working of his mighty strength which he exerted in Christ when He raised him from the dead and seated him in his own right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named above every title that can be conferred, not only in this age, but and in this world, but also in the age in the world which are to come.

David  [00:17:57]:

And he has put all things under his feet and has appointed him the universal and supreme head of the Church, a headship exercised throughout the church. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. You ought to go back. I know I’ve used that verse several times, but go back and read those. That first chapter of Ephesian is packed with power. Praise God. Praise God.

David  [00:18:23]:

Praise God. You are commissioned. You have a position, a calling and a mission that he’s called you and empowered you to go out and let me see. Which brings us to our third point here. You are empowered to reign in life. He’s called you to live. You are empowered to reign in the life he’s called you to live. That word reign there means to exercise kingly authority or power, to exercise the highest power and authority and influence of God in your life each day, to have dominion, to represent God’s kingdom here on the earth.

David  [00:19:23]:

Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Romans 5:17 in the Amplified Classic 4, if because of one man’s trespass, one man’s lapse or offense, death reigned through that one, much more surely will those who receive God’s overflowing grace, his unmerited favor, and the free gift of righteousness, putting them into the right standing with himself, reign as kings in life through the one man, Jesus Christ, the Messiah, the anointed one. Revelation 5:10. For he has made us kings and priests to our God, and we shall reign on the earth. I said this last week. You are a part of the royal family.

David  [00:20:20]:

We are here in the earth representing the King of kings and the Lord of Lords. We are his ambassador, and we come into the earth to rule and reign in his behalf as kings and priests. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Isaiah 62, 3 in the Amplified says this. You shall also be so beautiful and prosperous as to be thought of as a crown of glory and honor in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem, exceedingly beautiful in the hand of your your God. You are not just given a crown, you are his crown here on the earth, a testimony of his love and faithfulness, a goodness to all, his goodness to all, shines through you out to the world.

David  [00:21:23]:

And so the power that he has expresses through reigning from the right hand of the Father flows through every one of you who believes in Christ. When you stand before men and you share the good news, you’re the voice of God in the earth. When you’re praying for people and coming against the enemy, you’re the voice of he who has defeated the enemy. And we stand in victory and confidence and boldness, knowing no Satan. You can’t win here. You’re already defeated. Christ has overcome you. Praise God.

David  [00:22:11]:

Hallelujah. God has crowned you with a destiny, a purpose. He has a plan for you, a place for you, a position for you, a calling for you, a mission for you. Let’s go live our destiny out then. The fourth principle here, truth, a blessing from the throne, is final and unquestionable. When the king decrees something, it is done. It is final. When God crowns you.

David  [00:22:58]:

Listen to this. When God crowns you, no one, no one can revoke it. That word revoke means to recall or to repeal or to reverse it. Satan may want you to think that he can get you twisted up, messed up. You can’t walk in all that God had yet. No, don’t let the enemy accuse you, or accuse God to you, or accuse others or whatever trying to rob you of what God’s given you. His blessing from the throne is final. It is yours.

David  [00:23:42]:

No enemy can overrule it. No enemy can influence or control by predominant power your place, your position, your calling, your mission. You are crowned from the place of the highest authority. No circumstance can diminish it. And the word diminish there means to lessen or make smaller, to impair or to degrade. Not by any means. No circumstance. I don’t care what the circumstances are in, you are in around you, what you’re going through.

David  [00:24:33]:

They cannot diminish you, they cannot lessen you, make you smaller, impair you, degrade you, make you less powerful, full, have less authority. The only one who can really do that is you, with your thinking and your choices. Two verses come to mind that speak to each of these things. Isaiah 54:17, the Amplified classic. I know you’ve heard this before, but let’s. Let’s look at it again together. But no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper. And every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment, you shall show to be in the wrong.

David  [00:25:19]:

This peace, righteousness, security, triumph over opposition is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, those in whom the ideal servant of the Lord is reproduced. This is the righteousness or the vindication which they obtain from me. This is that which I impart to them as their justification, says the Lord. Hear what he said there, what he promised you. No one can come against you. I am here with you. Hallelujah. I will vindicate you.

David  [00:26:01]:

No weapon, no tongue. We stand shielded, surrounded, wrapped, encircled with God’s goodness. And we simply need to trust in him, and he will take us through it. We are already victorious. John 16:33 in the Amplified Classic, Jesus said, I have told you these things so that in me you may have perfect peace and confidence in the world. You have tribulation and trials and disaster, stress, frustration. But be of good cheer, take courage, be confident, certain, undaunted. For I have overcome the world.

David  [00:27:01]:

I have derived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you. I don’t care what comes against you, what the opposition is. You’re already an overcomer. God’s already conquered it for you. Jesus said, it’s done. You’re more than a conqueror, you’re an Overcomer, you’re victorious. Know this. The blessing of the Lord is not fragile.

David  [00:27:29]:

It is sovereign. When royalty crowns you with dignity and favor, it means you were seen, you were chosen. You are valued. Hallelujah. You were seen, you were chosen, you were valued. God sees you. And as we talked about last week, he chose you. He values you, delights in you.

David  [00:28:03]:

Hallelujah. You are empowered. You were covered by the king’s goodness. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. It is final.

David  [00:28:21]:

God has decreed is a divine benediction, a blessing from the throne itself. Marking you as one who carries a king’s identity, his honor, his favor and purpose wherever you go. Hallelujah. God has crowned you with his goodness, all he is. So you can go forth with courage and boldness and confidence, knowing that he is with you. And you are here representing a grand kingdom you were a part of a kingdom. Kings and priests here in the earth, representing the kingdom of God. Anytime you starting to feel a little down or less than, or just get up and start declaring these things.

David  [00:29:27]:

Everything I’ve been sharing with you, start declaring it. This is who you are. Every morning I get up, I’ve got this little decoration I make. Father, I thank you. I am a child of God. I am a son of God, and my father, God, just like my father, God, my words of power, authority and influence. And they do not come back to me void. They prosper in the thing for which I sent them.

David  [00:30:00]:

And just like my father, God, I call things that be not as though they were. And they are. And I go on from there. But I get up and reaffirm myself every morning. This is who you are, David. We don’t know what’s coming in the day. But no matter what comes, we know who we are, who is walking through this day with us. And that no matter what comes, he is there as our overcomer, our Vindicator, our victor, who has already won the victory for us.

David  [00:30:44]:

You are crowned with his goodness. Is. Let’s bow our heads in prayer. Father, we thank you for all of this, all your goodness. Hallelujah. Thank you for crowning us, Lord Jesus, with your favor. Thank you for anointing us, positioning us, calling us, giving us a mission. Thank you, Lord Jesus, that you’ve let us know who we are, given us an identity in you, Christ.

David  [00:31:19]:

We are part of the royal family. We are royalty. The royalty of the Kingdom of Heaven, here in the earth, honoring you, representing you, bringing glory to you, Lord, your kingdom come. We get to come share the good news. Of Jesus Christ to the whole world so they can be reconciled to Christ. Reconciled to you, Father, God. And be a part of the family of God. And not be doomed to an eternity without you, to suffer in pain without you, Lord.

David  [00:31:58]:

Thank you, Father. Thank you, Father, for showing us the way. Thank you for empowering us and giving us the words to say. May our lives be testimonies to all those around them, around us. Of your goodness, your grace, your mercy, your love, your favor. We thank you for it today, Father, we give you praise and glory in Jesus name. Amen. Pastor Kanye’s coming with a closing word in prayer.

David  [00:32:36]:

God bless you and go celebrate his goodness every day of this year.
