David [00:15:40]:

All right, you can be seated. Yeah, we’ll do way forward after.

Konya [00:16:11]:

Howdy! I just realized they’re not going to be able to see in here on that livestream me video. We’ve got our little gal in the Philippines who’s taking all the videos and cutting them up and doing things. So thank you guys all for being here again tonight. As we’re getting started, It’s just fun. And we said last week we’re not going to despise small beginnings. I think that all the tech that we’ve had and the fun that we’ve had with that has been— what a godsend today, because we would not have been able to do this the way that we did it. But for our offering tonight, I just wanted to talk a little bit about seed time. And one of my clients today, she must have repeated it back to me 4 times.

Konya [00:16:59]:

She is like, “Konya would say you are planting seeds. You are planting seeds. You are planting seeds.” And sometimes it doesn’t look like they are coming up. Sometimes it takes a little while. And sometimes we need to give God time to work. But the things that are the most valuable, that have the biggest impact, are generally the things that have the bigger foundation. And when I used to like to say, you can’t have a 747 take off off of a short runway. But apparently I looked it up and like nobody in the United States uses 747s anymore.

Konya [00:17:32]:

There’s only like 2 airlines that use 747s. So now I have to say 787s and that’s, I don’t know, I found that out. I don’t even know how I came upon that, but you can’t take off in a 787 from a short runway. So the bigger thing that you’re trying to do, the more seed, the more foundation has to be laid. And when you look at skyscrapers, you know, if you can go downtown in Nashville right now and they’re building some pretty big buildings, but it takes them forever, especially with the land around here being a lot of rock. It takes them forever to dig down deep enough to have enough of a base for a foundation to have a really tall skyscraper. So if you want to have something that’s one story and you want to have something that’s just basic and easy to deal with, then you do. You just need a little foundation.

Konya [00:18:25]:

But if you want to do something big, if you want to do something God-sized, often the foundation is going to take a little longer. It’s going to take a little more seed. You’re going to have to allow it a little bit more time to grow. But the result is always a big result with God. And he’s— he just tells us, I promise you, it’s going to be good. And sometimes you’re looking at it, you’re like, Lord, I don’t see it. I don’t— the bamboo, famously, there’s a species of bamboo that stays underground for 6 years as it’s growing, and then all of a sudden in in the, the 6th year, it shoots way up because it was getting prepared to grow. So as we come into offering time, and you’ve got your little offering envelopes there if you need them, um, just think today as we’re praying, as we’re singing, as we’re talking, what is it that God’s asking you to make a foundation for? It could be a relationship foundation.

Konya [00:19:28]:

It could be a friendship foundation. It could be a future foundation. Um, one of our daughters is putting money back like crazy into her retirement fund, and she’s in her 20s. So it’s funny that you would think about that, and she’s very specifically not let lifestyle creep creep up on her. She has kept her position, the pay that her 2 positions below her would be, and that is what she lives on. And every time she gets a raise and every time she gets a bump, she starts banking it. And so that lifestyle creep. So, if we start banking what God is giving us, then we will have more later on.

Konya [00:20:07]:

So, take what God is giving you today. Listen for him for a minute. And as we get ready to go into this next part of service, I just want us to set our for intentions why, why are we here today? What is it that God’s called us to do? And take a minute and get still and just ask him, what is it that you want me to see today? Because he has big ideas for us, and a lot of times we’re running so fast we run right past them. So let me pray over this today. Father, thank you Thank you for the seed for the sower. Thank you, Lord, that you do give us time, you give us resources, you give us great gifts in order to plant into others and into this world that will grow way beyond anything that we think is even possible. Thank you, Lord, that we give you what’s in our hand, you multiply it back to us, Father, so that we can go out and give again. We love you, Lord.

Konya [00:21:04]:

We praise you and we thank you. In Jesus’ name, amen.

David [00:21:10]:

Amen. Well, Pastor Kanye’s getting ready for the next song here. I just wanna let everybody on our.

Speaker B [00:21:17]:

Live stream know, if you want to give tonight, you can go to our website, emergeinternationalchurch.org. There are several ways there you can give also, sow into what God is doing. So if you want to stand, you can stand, or just join in. I want to lift this song up to the Lord right before we get into the word tonight. They say this mountain can’t be moved. They say these chains will never break, but they don’t know what you like. We do. There is power in your name.

Speaker B [00:22:21]:

We’ve heard the There is no way. We’ve heard that God will never change. They haven’t seen what you can do. There is in your power name. So much power in your name. Move the immovable, break the unbreakable. God, we believe. God, we believe for it.

Speaker B [00:23:17]:

Impossible. We’ll see a miracle. God, we believe. God, we believe for it. We know that hope is never for there is still empty lost. Oh, an cross. God, we believe it matters. There is power in your name, so much power in your name.

Speaker B [00:24:16]:

Move the immovable, break the unbreakable. God, we believe. God, we believe for it. From the impossible, we’ll see a Miracle. God, we believe. God, we believe for me. You are the way where there seems to be no way. We trust in you.

Speaker B [00:25:03]:

God, you have the final say. You are the way where there seems to be no way. We trust in you, God, you have the final say. Be immovable, great be unbreakable. God, we believe. God, we believe. For it, from the impossible, we’ll see a miracle. God, we believe.

Speaker B [00:25:52]:

God, we believe. For it. Oh, your story. You said I believe. You said it is done. Lord, you said I believe. You said it is done. Oh, let’s declare it.

Speaker B [00:26:35]:

Lord, you said I believe. You said it is done. Yes, Lord.

Konya [00:26:52]:

You.

Speaker B [00:26:55]:

You said it is done. Move the immovable, break the unbreakable. God, we believe. God, we believe. From the impossible, we’ll see a miracle. God, we believe. God, we believe fully. God, we believe.

Speaker B [00:27:38]:

God, we believe. Amen.

David [00:27:54]:

Praise God. What, what are you believing for? What’s the impossible, or what seems impossible? With God, all things are possible. Amen. And we believe for it. Hallelujah. Glory to God. Glory, glory, glory. I don’t know how many of you possibly grew up like I did.

David [00:28:26]:

I’m from the deep, deep South. I’m from a place called North Florida, FLA, North Florida, which stands for Formerly Lower Alabama. But the Panhandle is now North Florida. So, but hahaha, I tried. Everybody from Louisiana is just like, huh? But anyway, deep south we grew up. So I grew up hearing a lot about getting saved. Amen. And I grew up Pentecostal, so we got saved, we got sanctified, and then we got filled with the Holy Ghost, you know.

David [00:29:11]:

And then once I got saved, the message was pretty much like this: live right, don’t fall into sin, just hang on, you’ll get to heaven. And I don’t know how many of you grew up like that, but that’s kind of the way it was. We didn’t get much further into the word than that. But how many of you know there’s so much more? God has so much more for us. God is more. Recently during my Bible reading, I was reading in the book of John in the first chapter. I love the first chapter of John, but as I was reading this time, I got to verse 12 and it says this: but as many as received him To them he gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in his name. Wow, I could spend a lot of time right there on that verse.

Konya [00:30:15]:

But.

David [00:30:15]:

Let me cut to the chase here. If you have received Jesus, you’ve been given the right— think about that— to become a child of God. Not only are you saved and forgiven and redeemed, you have rights. Have you ever thought about that? Once you became a believer, you got rights. So having rights speaks to the benefits, the advantages, the blessings bestowed on you because of who you are connected with. Now we’re going to go deeper into all of that over the next few weeks, but tonight I want us to study another right that we all possess as children of God. Because as you continue reading here in the book of first chapter of John, you get down to verse 16. And next slide, but I keep forgetting.

David [00:31:16]:

John 1:16. And all of his fullness we have all received, and from grace for grace. As a child of God, we had the right of his fullness. So before we move on real quick, we’re going to do a little example here. And I promise, Corey, I won’t pour this on you. But so see this bottle of water? Is that bottle full? Yes. Well, not really. There’s still some space in there, isn’t there? Is there still space in there? Now, from the standpoint of marketing and sales, it’s full enough to sell it, right? So a lot of times we think the full is like this.

David [00:32:09]:

Right? But there’s still space in there. So God is a God of more than enough. We’re going to get into that here in a minute. But God— and we’re going to see this throughout tonight, but I wanted to go ahead and show you now— with God, it says one of the things this word fullness means here is filled to the brim. Now you probably can’t see that, but I’m filled to the brim now. And then it goes on and says this throughout scripture— thank you, honey— it goes on and says this, it says filled to the brim till it overflows. And I missed the can, but whatever. Let me drink a little of this.

David [00:33:05]:

All right, so you get that image. I wanted you to have that image as we go through these verses tonight, because that is who God is. We’ve received his fullness. Genesis 17:1. In the Amplified, God comes and says, when Abraham was 99 years old, the Lord appeared to him and said, I am the Almighty God. Walk and live habitually before me and be perfect, which means blameless, wholehearted, and complete. Almighty God here in Genesis 17:1 is the Hebrew word El Shaddai. And El Shaddai is one of the seven covenant names through which God revealed himself to Israel and to us.

David [00:34:02]:

If you go back and study those seven names in Hebrew, El Shaddai means the all-sufficient one. God isn’t just sufficient He’s not just enough. All-sufficient there means the Almighty is a God who is more than enough. It’s kind of like when I filled that bottle to the brim till it overflowed, there was more than enough there, right? That’s God’s fullness. God isn’t just sufficient, he is all-sufficient. He’s not just enough, he is always more than enough. So when John writes, we’ve all received his fullness, what he’s saying is we’ve all received all he is and then some. Because God’s new every morning, right? He’s always then some, and then some more, and then some more.

David [00:35:11]:

I may have shared— I don’t think I shared this last week, but if I did, I’m going to share it again. I remember during COVID uh, back in 2020, everybody was home from college. You know, we had girls in the house. I was the only guy in the house. My son had moved. My son had moved to Oregon and said, sorry, Dad, I need some space. But so I told Connie, I said, I’m going in our bedroom closet to pray ’cause I need some quiet and I need to be alone. So I walk in and I go in there and I just started worshiping.

David [00:35:54]:

I said, God, I thank you for this time. And I so look forward to the day that I will know who you are. Truly all there is to know about you. And here’s what I heard back. David, who am I? And I said.

Speaker B [00:36:18]:

You’Re well.

David [00:36:21]:

El Shaddai. You’re the God who’s more than enough. He goes, right. He goes, what else does the word say about me? Holy Spirit was whispering to me, so I said, oh yeah, you’re new every day, you’re new every morning. He goes, right, you’ll never know everything there is to know about me.

Speaker B [00:36:38]:

I went, oh wow.

David [00:36:41]:

He goes, throughout eternity I’ll be new, new. And he goes, but you’re created in my image, so guess what? So will you. We receive his fullness and then it just gets bigger and bigger and bigger in us, right?

Speaker B [00:36:59]:

Hallelujah.

David [00:37:00]:

We see this in Psalm 65:11. You crown the year with your goodness, and your paths drip with abundance. The phrase there, your paths drip, in the Hebrew means your ways overflow with abundance. They’re not just enough, they’re not good, they’re more than enough. God is always a God of more than enough, to the full till it overflows. And that’s what that word fullness there in John means. That’s what God put in us. That’s a right we have to experience his fullness to the full till it overflows.

David [00:37:45]:

Let’s read John 16:1-16 again. I want to go back to John 1:16 now, but I’m going to read it from the Passion Translation this time. It says this: And from the overflow of his fullness we receive grace heaped upon more grace. Wow, that just gets better, doesn’t it? Grace heaped upon more grace because of the overflow of his goodness. And then in the Amplified, it says it this way. John 1:16 in the Amplified Classic says: For out of his fullness, his abundance, we We have all received, all had a share, and we were all supplied with one grace after another, spiritual blessing upon spiritual blessing, and even favor upon favor, and gift heaped upon gift. Now, if you go into the Greek, those are all the words they use to define this word fullness. Fullness there in the Greek means this: one who is filled with the presence, the power, the riches of God and of Christ and his abundance.

David [00:39:11]:

That’s what it means. The definition literally means one who is filled with the presence, the power, the riches of God and of Christ and his abundance. There’s a confession to make every day. Father, I thank you that I’m filled with your presence, your power, your riches, and your abundance, because it’s my right, because I am a child of God.

Konya [00:39:40]:

Wow.

David [00:39:42]:

So there are 4 things we see here. To be filled with his fullness means filled with his presence, his power, his riches, and his abundance. So as a child of God, like I just said, all of this is within us. But there’s a guy Connie and I worked with— we met and actually worked with this guy, and he made this phrase famous: but wait, that’s not all, there’s more. Fullness also means this: empowered with the capacity and the ability of moving or exerting power, of being in action. God has given us his capacity, his ability to move in power and action for him in his kingdom. It’s like Paul said in Philippians 4:13. I’m going to read this from the Amplified Classic.

David [00:40:43]:

Philippians 4:13, I have strength for all things in Christ who empowers me. I am ready for anything, equal to anything, through him who infuses inner strength into me. I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency. Wow. We’re not lacking anything. I love the last half of that verse: I am ready for anything and equal to anything through him, through Christ, who infuses inner strength into me. I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency. Get up every morning, look in the mirror, and quote that verse to yourself from the Amplified Classic.

David [00:41:27]:

There’s another good one. Because it’s true, guys. We’re filled with this fullness. That’s our right. As a child of God, you are empowered with his power to go take action. Which brings us to this verse, John 10:10. I’m reading from the Amplified Classic a lot tonight, guys. So that’s where we’re at again.

David [00:41:58]:

John 10:10, the Amplified says, Jesus said this: The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life and have it in abundance, to the full, till it overflows. There it is again. The word full there, same word, it’s fullness. So Jesus came to give us a life that we can enjoy and have it fully till it overflows, like that little bottle I just did with the water. It’s not filled just enough so we can go sell it. No, it’s a life that’s filled to the brim till it overflows. That’s what God wants.

David [00:42:42]:

That’s his heart for you. Jesus came to give us his life. In abundance, to the full, till it overflows. And that’s why the enemy is coming against you every day, trying to bring you down, telling you you’re not good enough, trying to bring things into your life and think, well, I’m not strong enough. Yeah, you are. You got all you need. We have all we need within us, guys. I, I think back into my early 20s and I think, Lord, why didn’t I know this then? Why hadn’t I been taught this? If I’d have known it and walked in it— I mean, I want to take this and go sit down with my 8-year-old grandson, Luke Jack.

David [00:43:39]:

His name’s Jack too, Jack. But by the way, I’m sorry, guys, pause for a second. Friend of mine, when our grandson was born, real close friend of mine said, well, you’re one of the few people who actually know Jack.

Speaker B [00:43:57]:

That. PJ got.

David [00:44:06]:

I’m sorry, but anyway, Let me say this again. Fullness with God is always, always at a place of overflow. God is never holding back on us, guys. It’s always more than enough. It’s always and then some. I remember Mr. Zig Ziglar used to teach this. He said we do what’s expected of us and then some.

David [00:44:39]:

He understood this principle. God is always more than enough. He’s always and then some. We see this demonstrated in the feeding of the 5,000. You guys remember that story. So Mark 6:42 and 43 here in the Amplified says this: And they all ate and were satisfied. And they took up 12 small hand baskets full of broken pieces from the loaves and of the fish. Now we know the story.

David [00:45:12]:

He started out with 5 loaves and a couple fish, and now they’re taking up 12 hand baskets of leftovers after feeding. Actually, they, uh, because the men were only counted, that was 5,000 men. That didn’t count the women and the children. So they said they probably fed closer to 8,000 people there, maybe more. But think about that. Jesus prayed over it and blessed it, and it was more than enough. Everybody got their fill, didn’t they? Listen to what Jesus said in Luke. Luke 6:38: Give and it will be given to you.

David [00:45:56]:

Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you. Again, now let me say this about that verse. Luke 6:38 is not just referring to finances, guys. When it talks about giving, it’s speaking of giving of your time. Your talent, your love for others, your treasure, the thing that you treasure, sharing that with others. It’s serving others in any way you can. And when you do, what happens? It comes back to you running over.

David [00:46:40]:

Now I’ll say this, I’ll use this as an example. When Uh, BJ got here tonight. Conja told him what was going on, so he helped her. We have this— our slides running tonight on the new screen here because BJ helped. So that’s going to come back to you running over in some way. I don’t know from where, but it’s coming back. And I pray that over you. I declare that over you.

David [00:47:16]:

But that’s true, guys. I’ve seen it. You do one little nice thing for somebody over here, you don’t even think about it. It’s just like, yeah, sure, here. And all of a sudden you go over here and somebody else comes and goes, hey, come here, I got something. Let me bless you. God never misses anything. It’s like one brother I’ve heard teaches this so well: your seed never expires.

David [00:47:50]:

It continues to produce and bring blessing in your life. It comes back to you running over. His fullness, his more than enough, is what flows through you as well as to you. It’s another takeaway from that verse. His fullness, his more than enough, is what flows through you as well as to you. Whatever the need, it is supplied through his fullness, his abundance. God is our source and supply. In Philippians 4:19, it talks about God liberally supplies and fills to the full our every need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

David [00:48:45]:

That word, um, riches— there, there’s a translation, and when you look it up in the Greek, according to his infinite riches. His unending riches. He doesn’t run out. So God supplies through his never-ending abundance. Now I’m sure you’ve all heard this next verse, but I just quoted it to you. Philippians 4:19, the Amplified: My God will liberally supply and fill to the full your every need according according to its riches in glory in Christ Jesus. And the point I want to make here is, if we think back to the definition I gave you, we are empowered with his— given the capacity to act in power and take action with— and we are filled with the riches of God in Christ. Christ, right? Remember I said that earlier? God is our source and our supply, and out of his fullness, his riches in glory in Christ, he meets all of our needs— spirit, soul, body.

David [00:50:13]:

It’s just not financially. Spirit, soul, body, relationally and socially. Guys, a part of the way we’re wired and created was to connect. We’re supposed to have a social life. We’re supposed to have relationships. And out of that is a part of the way God blesses us, as we bless one another. Another verse Paul uses to reaffirm that God is able to do more than enough is in 2 Corinthians 9:8. I’m reading this from the Amplified Classic also, but it says this: And God is able to make all grace, every favor and earthly blessing, come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances circumstances, or whatever the need, be self-sufficient, possessing enough to require no aid or support, and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation.

David [00:51:25]:

God— that’s what God wants. And as we turn to him and pursue him and trust in him, that he’s able to work through us to see that come to to pass for us. It activates his fullness that’s already within us. And I love the way this said this in John 1:16. It said, grace for grace, or grace heaped upon grace. That’s what that verse is talking about there. All grace, every favor, Every earthly blessing, God can cause that to come to us. And then I like what it says in the first chapter of Ephesians 2.

David [00:52:13]:

It says we’ve been blessed with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places. So guys, we have it all. We’ve got everything heaven has, and we— and God can bring everything, every favor and earthly blessing here in the earth to us. We just have to believe it, receive it, and walk in it with him. Ephesians 3:17-19: That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the width and length length and depth and height, to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Paul is saying here that knowing the fullness of God’s love for us opens the door for us to be filled with all the fullness of God. It activates it. He’s already deposited it within us, but now this activates it as we understand God’s love for us and our love for him.

David [00:53:33]:

In other words, all the fullness of God which is available to us as children of God flows from his love for us. So fully embracing God’s love for you His child opens the door for you to walk in the fullness of everything he has. This verse also speaks to why we have received the fullness. It begins with, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.

Speaker B [00:54:16]:

Christ is in us.

David [00:54:20]:

You know what you shared at the Bible study last Friday night? That was awesome. Who we are in Christ. Christ is in us and we are in him. Jesus said this in John 14:20. He said, at that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and and I in you. Now think about that. He’s in the Father, but he says we’re in him and he’s in us. And so that means we’re in the Father with him too.

David [00:54:55]:

And a great example of this— I, I I don’t— can’t demonstrate it tonight, but if I had a jar of water here, big jar of water, and I took a sponge and dropped it in there, what would happen? Would the sponge get saturated with the right? water, Yeah, it would. So the sponge is in the water, right? But if I pull that sponge out of there and squeeze it, what comes out of the sponge? The water. So the sponge was in the water, but the water was in the sponge. Now that’s it. We’re We’re in Christ, but he’s in us, and together we are in the Father. Colossians 2:9-10, for in him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily, and you are complete in him. Think about that. All of the fullness of the Godhead bodily is in you right now, and you are complete in him who is ahead of all principality and power.

David [00:56:12]:

So we we could, could go there, and at some point we will. But what that’s saying is you’re complete in him, and he’s the head of all principality and power. So where does that put you? That puts you right there with him, above all principality and power. And he’s giving us— he’s delegated his authority to us so that we can come in Jesus’ name and overcome anything the enemy tries to bring against us. Amen. The word complete there in that verse means to furnish or liberally supply, to fill to the top, fill to the brim, to the full measure. There it is again. There it is again.

David [00:57:04]:

We are complete in him. We have the fullness of God in him. Colossians 2:3 in the Amplified says, in him All the treasures of divine wisdom, comprehensive insight in the ways and purposes of God, and all the riches of spiritual knowledge and enlightenment are stored up and lie hidden. So an easy way to say that is all wisdom, insight, understanding, revelation is hidden in Christ. Okay, now let me say this again. You are in him and he is in you. So guess what? All the treasures of divine wisdom, comprehensive insight into the ways and purposes of God, all the riches of spiritual knowledge and enlightenment are stored up in you because you’re in him and he’s in you. That’s why I tell people all the time, God has placed everything you need to be who he’s created you to be.

David [00:58:15]:

You’re not lacking anything. You have it all. You discover it and unlock it by seeking God, studying his word, meditating on his word, journaling, writing about it, implementing what you have learned. Why? Because you are his child, and as his child, you have a right to the fullness of God living in you, and God has given you that right. So let me read this verse to you again, the three translations I used here. John 1:16. And of his fullness we have all received. We all have it.

David [00:59:05]:

We all have it. Everybody in this room, we all have it. Everybody watching on the livestream, you all have the fullness of his grace, all the fullness of who he is. And beyond that, because it goes grace for grace, John 1:6.
