A Couple of months before the end of 2025 During my morning devotions. I was reading Psalm 65 and As I read verse 11 the Lord stopped me So I read it over again and again and again several times and As I kept reading it. I heard the Lord say this is your 2026 focus This is what I want to bring to the body of Christ in 2026 Study it meditate on it pray over it and teach it That verse says right there in Psalm 65 11 You crown the year with your goodness and your paths drip with Abundance hallelujah praise God One of the things God said to me About 2026 was That he has a lot.
He wants to do in us through us with us and for us in this year as We seek him Hearing and studying his word. He will show us what is to come and where he is taking us the key here is as We seek him Our Father God loves us beyond measure Beyond What we can imagine or beyond beyond it’s what I like to say He wants to wrap us in his goodness his fullness He wants to receive us to receive all he is We just simply need to come and sit with him every day At the end of this month June, we will be six months into this year. And as I was Thinking about this the Lord said to me Revisit what you shared with everyone at the beginning of the year It’s time to renew our focus on God’s promise for this year and not let the enemy distract us from God’s plan for this year So we began this year with Psalm 65 11 And I taught on that verse for five weeks We started the last Sunday in December and then went through the first four Sundays in January And I taught all those five weeks from Psalm 65 11 You can go to our YouTube channel Emerge International Church and our YouTube channel there and hear those messages again And I encourage you to do that Today we’re going to drill down deeper into what it means to be crowned Because this is very significant for what God wants to do in us and through us and with us and for us Psalm 8 verse 5 and I’m reading this from the New Living Translation, but Psalm 8 verse 5 says this yet you made them only a little lower than God and Crowned them with glory and honor You’re crowned today with glory and honor.
Hallelujah. Praise God for that. Think about that God crowns us Crowning is Initiated by God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our King of kings and Lord of lords This is the heart of God for all who believe This is God’s heart for us in 2026. This is his word to us so Hear what I’m saying today study it make notes and drill down into it and let God Bring a revelation in you of what this means for you and the purpose. He has for you in Scripture the image of a crown is deeply symbolic It represents honor Authority identity and favor a favor bestowed by the King when royalty crowns something or someone It isn’t just a decorative ornament that’s placed on the head It’s a public declaration of value worth and destiny Hmm God sees you as valuable He sees you as very valuable worth and worthy and He has a plan and a destiny for you and we’re going to get into that as we look at this again So, let’s look at that first thing when you’re crowned by the King you’re honored by the King To be honored is to share the rank and the Renown of the King when you’re crowned by the King now you share the rank and the renown of the King and So we walk in his glory his essence his fullness who he is Because he has crowned us as it said there in Psalm 8 he crowned us with glory and honor Hallelujah So The writer there in Psalm 8 describes what God has done for us.
Let me read it again to you Yet, and I’m gonna read it this time from the Amplified Classic yet you have made him but a little lower than God or heavenly beings and You have crowned him with glory and honor You Know the Apostle Paul also gives us insight to this as he shares in Romans 8 16 and 17 Listen to this. This is from the New King James Version Romans 8 16 and 17 The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God and if children then heirs heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ Wow, there’s a lot there guys. We are joint heirs with Christ We’re not just co-heirs we’re joint heirs And that speaks to what’s called full partnership full partnership unlike a standard co-heir Who simply gets a portion of an estate or an inheritance a joint heir shares equally it is undivided ownership in the entirety of the inheritance Which goes back to what Jesus said?
when he said God has given me all and I give it to you So it’s just not a portion of it we get all of it We get to share in all of it Romans 8 16 and 17 in the New Living Translation says this for his spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children and Since we are his children. We are his heirs in Fact together with Christ we are heirs of God’s glory Now we’ve talked about this before We are heirs of God’s glory That means all of his fullness all of who he is is Expressed in his glory his goodness. And so that word glory and goodness there in the Hebrew It’s the same word.
It’s the same thing here in the Greek also We are heirs of God’s glory Glory this speaks to all the riches of God hidden in Christ in us His fullness is ours Hallelujah, praise God Hallelujah Paul speaks of this there in the New Testament and he talks about That all these spiritual riches that are in Christ are ours Believers inherit God’s peace his righteousness his eternal life and the ultimate glory of his eternal kingdom Wow You are a part of God’s eternal kingdom right now If you were a believer in Jesus Christ You’ve accepted him and received him as your Lord and Savior You are a part of the eternal kingdom of God right now You can experience heaven on earth right now You were crowned with his goodness today For the plan and the purpose God has for you.
He is honored you praise God You might be thinking well pastor David. I’m not so sure I’ve earned the right to be honored and crowned by God Listen to what Paul says here in Romans 8 16 and 17 Again, I’m gonna read this again from the Amplified But the Spirit himself thus testifies together with our own spirit assuring us that we are Children of God and if we are his children, then we are his heirs also heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ Sharing his inheritance with him Because we are sharing his inheritance with him we are we are Joint heirs with him we have what’s called an unearned status an Unearned status is not based on your own works or merit But simply on your identity as a child of God You are a child of God and so it’s all yours.
You don’t have to earn it. You don’t have to prove your worth God loves you and says you’re part of the family. It’s all yours You simply have to receive it I Receive you Lord. I receive all that you are. I receive your fullness Thank you for all you did To reconcile me to our Father God so that I could walk in the fullness of who you are Hallelujah You are God’s child which makes you an heir of God and a joint heir with Jesus Christ Sharing his full inheritance with him now That’s a fact That’s a fact scripture says it God said it. He is faithful to his word.
He doesn’t lie Hallelujah, it’s a fact that is who we are in Christ The second thing we see here we talked about when you’re crowned by a king you’re honored and You’re endowed with authority Authority When someone is crowned they are endowed With the authority power and influence of the king Hallelujah, it’s yours. It’s given to you. You have it Being endowed with the authority of the king means you have been entrusted with the right to represent and act on behalf of and carry the influence of the king and his kingdom Praise God it speaks of God giving his people delegated authority not to rule independent of him or from him but to live and rule with him as his representatives in the earth We are joint heirs with Christ and we’re joint rulers with Christ Now he is the king of kings and the Lord of Lords But as we walk out the priesthood he’s given us and the kingship he’s given us here on the earth We’re working together with him to accomplish his will and purpose here on the earth one of the things we need to understand in this as we take this in and begin to walk in it is authority and Power are not the same Power is the ability to do something You have the capacity the ability the strength to do something Authority is the legal right to do it Jesus Christ has given you the legal right to use his name his power his authority For his purpose and plan through you So as believers we are called To live under heaven’s authority and to carry that authority into everyday life Wherever we go But why?
Because you have the right you’ve been given the right So you’re honored by the king and you’re an endowed with his authority Jesus said in Luke 10 19. This is in the New King James behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt you and then in Matthew 28 He declared the fullness of the authority. We are delegated to operate in Matthew 28 18 through 20 in the New King James and Jesus came and spoke to them saying All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth Go therefore and make disciples of all nations Baptizing them in the name of the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit Teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you and lo.
I am with you always Even to the end of the age Wow. in Jesus name all Authority has been delegated To the children of God we are endowed with the Kings authority Now let’s go a little deeper with that let’s look at what that means Number one thing and we’ve just heard it said here in Scripture number one thing we carry his name in Scripture a name represents character it represents reputation It represents backing Acting in the name of Jesus means you are operating under his authority and in alignment with him and You have his backing his support Praise God Hallelujah, he’s right there with us.
He he said I’ll never leave you or forsake you So you carry his name? Second thing is when you’re endowed with authority you represent his kingdom like an ambassador represents a nation Believers represent the kingdom of God wherever they go at home at work at church Out in the community and other nations. We are ambassadors of the kingdom of God And we represent his kingdom because we’ve been endowed with his authority the third thing is you are entrusted with Responsibility. So when you’re endowed with authority You’re given responsibility Kingdom authority is not about control.
It’s not about ego. Look at me. It’s not about status It’s stewardship The king and trust his people to serve protect heal lead reconcile and advance his purposes Your purpose is to advance his purpose Hallelujah, praise God So we are entrusted with the responsibility of Advancing his purpose here on the earth His kingdom come his will be done here on earth as it is in heaven and he wants to do that through You because he’s endowed you with his authority the next thing is When you’re endowed with the king’s authority you operate under submission and here’s what that means Biblical authority only functions properly when we remain submitted to the king himself And we see this Centurions shepherds disciples, they all understood this principle Authority flows from alignment with our king As we stay aligned with him one with him trusting in him seeking him We function and operate Submitted to him and his authority and his authority then flows through us and empowers us To do what he’s called us to do And then the next thing is this When you’re endowed with the authority of your king You live with confidence not insecurity when someone understands they are authorized by God they stop living like spiritual outsiders and Begin living with clarity Courage humility and purpose they know their place They know their purpose.
They know the power behind them and they understand That they can go forth and walk in this With confidence and faith and God is right there with them One way to summarize this to say it simply is to be endowed with the authority of the king is to be entrusted to represent the king carry his influence and advance his will With his backing He’s gonna back you It reminds me of a story I’ll try to share this real quick, but my brothers and I growing up we would wrestle and Tug of war and play in the house and try to prove who’s stronger and who’s better and all this stuff My mom was a little concerned about it.
She says my gosh all you guys do is fight with each other and she was sharing that with a elderly friend of ours and And he her concerned about it and he laughed and said all Them boys is just showing how much they love each other And mom went whoo. They must really love each other But the reality was this if we’d get out in the neighborhood playing with other Some of our other friends or kids in the neighborhood if one of them started Arguing with us or coming against us Every time I’ve gotten to an argument with someone It never failed I heard behind me I’ve got your back One of my brothers would be there The young man who was my best friend and we were both about nine or ten years old We Were out playing one day out by the almost by the street there at the edge of the driveway And we got to arguing about something and then he started telling me how he was gonna Change the look of my face and what he was gonna do and all of a sudden behind me I heard this little voice that said I’ve got your back And He Looked and granted started laughing.
Well, I turned around and there was my baby brother He was about four years old man, and he had this look on his face And he had his fist up like that and he was good. I got your back And my friend started laughing because he thought yeah, right you got his back and I started laughing and going Yeah, he’s right here with me. So and we got to laughing and Then we forgot what we were arguing about and just went back to playing together To this day my youngest brother tells me he saved my life and I always come back with oh I could have taken that guy with one hand behind my back, you know, we still going back and forth But my point is this I don’t care what you’re facing what the enemy brings against you what situation you get into Jesus is right there.
The Holy Spirit is right there with you The Father God is with you And they’re all saying I got your back I Got your back You can step forward with faith and courage and confidence We’re right here with you You see when Christ was resurrected Paul gives us a really good view of what happened Ephesians 1 20 through 21 here in the Amplified Classic It’s talking about what God did in Christ said which the power which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead And seated him at his own right hand in the heavenly places Far above all rule and authority and power and dominion and every name that is named above every title that can be conferred Not only in this age and in this world, but also in the age in the world That is to come So Christ is Seated at the right hand of the Father in heavenly places far above all rule and authority and power and dominion That’s where Jesus is So, let me ask you this you believed in Jesus Christ and Received him as your Lord and Savior.
So, where are you? Well, Paul tells us that to Ephesians 2 4 through 6 here in the Amplified Classic. It says but God so rich in his mercy Because of and in order to satisfy the great and wonderful and intense love with which he loved us Even when we were dead and slain by our own shortcomings and trespasses He made us alive together in fellowship and in union with Christ himself The same new life which he quickened him for it is by grace his favor and mercy Which you did not deserve That you are saved Delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ’s salvation and he has raised us up Together with him and made us sit down together giving us joint seating with him in The heavenly sphere by virtue of our being in Christ Jesus the Messiah the anointed one Did you hear what I just read not only are we joint heirs with him?
We have joint seating with Christ in the heavenly sphere far above all rule and authority and power and dominion You have been crowned with honor and authority It’s yours right now You don’t have to wait till you arrive in heaven. Do not let the enemy Steal from you what Jesus paid the price to give you Praise God Hallelujah Father God, thank you. Thank you. Thank you Lord for crowning us with your goodness With the fullness of who you are, thank you for leading us in paths that drip with abundance Hallelujah. Thank you for inviting us to partner with you and seeing your kingdom come Your will be done here on earth as it is in heaven Hallelujah, thank you Lord.
Thank you Lord. Thank you Lord. God has crowned you He’s honored you He’s given you his glory And he’s crowned you with authority praise God his authority all authority power and Dominion is yours in Christ in his name you get to carry his name and represent the kingdom You are crowned with his goodness Praise God. Now I want you to go out there this week And represent the kingdom of God be the ambassador He has anointed you and appointed you to be For his plan his purpose for his people praise God We have more available to us and working in us than we even realize Get up every day Expecting it and walk in it praise God Pastor Kanye is coming right now with a closing word in the prayer.
