You know, I shared earlier this year, at the beginning of the year, actually, a word that brother Copeland had received about 2024. And let me share that with you again, because we’re going to be talking more about that today. 2024 will be a year of more and more and more. More finances, more healings, more miracles, more outpourings, more people coming to Jesus, more things happening.
David [00:01:01]:
I am the God of increase. And so with that in mind today, I want us to drill down into the God of more again and what that means for us. And you might be saying, well, David, you talked about that at the beginning of the year. Why are you talking about it again now? Well, we just finished six months. We’re into our 7th month. So we’re into the second half of this year. And God, I know this, and God has put this on my heart. He still wants to do more in us.
David [00:01:37]:
He wants to do more through us. He wants to do more with us, and he wants to do more for us. God is not a respecter of persons, guys. And he wants me to remind you that this is a year of more. And he’s looking for every opportunity to do more in us through his forest and with us. If he does it for one person, he will do it for you. He gives us examples through throughout scripture to show us how he wants to do more in our lives. And so one of those examples we see in the book of Genesis with the story of Abraham, and we’re all familiar with this, Genesis 17, one and two.
David [00:02:26]:
And this is from the Niv version. It says this, when Abraham was 99 years old, the Lord appeared to him and said, I am God almighty. Walk before me and be blameless. I will confirm my covenant between me and you and will greatly increase your numbers. The hebrew word there for God almighty in this verse is El Shaddai, the God who was more than enough. More than sufficient. It means that he has the power to complete his promises or blessings and prosperity. He is infinite.
David [00:03:16]:
He is unlimited. Nothing lacking, nothing broken. He is the God of more. God is not just enough, he is more than enough. He’s not just sufficient. He is more than sufficient. As Pastor Kanye likes to say, he’s always more and better. He not only has power, he is omnipotent.
David [00:03:45]:
He possesses all power, all potential. He has it within him. He possesses the power to complete promises of blessing and prosperity in us, through us, with us and for us. And he’s looking for that opportunity every day. He promised Abraham that he would bless his generations to come if Abraham would obey his word and honor the covenant they had between them. We see the results of this a few chapters later in Genesis, Abraham’s son Isaac’s life. Genesis 26 one six and the amplified says this. And there was a famine in the land other than the former famine that was in the days of Abraham, his father.
David [00:04:42]:
And Isaac went to Gerar to Abimelech, king of the Philistines. And the Lord appeared to him and said, do not go down to Egypt. Live in the land of which I will tell you, dwell temporarily in this land, and I will be with you and will favor you with blessings. For to you and to your descendants, I will give all these lands, and I will perform the oath which has swore to Abraham your father and I will make your descendants to multiply as the stars of heavens and will give to you your posterity, all these lands, these kingdoms, and by your offspring shall all the nations of the earth be blessed. Hallelujah. Abraham listened to and obeyed my voice and kept my charge, my commands, my statutes and my law. So Isaac stayed in Gerard. So the reason we see here what’s happening is right there.
David [00:05:57]:
Abraham listened. He obeyed. He kept my charge. Let’s set this up. There’s a great famine in the land. And the Lord says, live where I tell you. I will be with you and will favor you. With blessings, I will multiply you and your descendants.
David [00:06:17]:
That’s pretty good. God’s promise is for him and his descendants, those to come. Then the Lord goes on to say this, all the nations of the earth will be blessed through you. For Abraham listened to and obeyed my voice. There it is, guys. Abraham listened to the Lord and obeyed his voice. He kept my charge, my commands, my statutes and my laws. Well, what happened? What did Isaac do? Genesis 20 612 14 tells us this.
David [00:06:56]:
Then Isaac sowed seed in that land and received in the same year a hundred times as much as he had planted. A hundred times as much as he had planted. And the Lord favored him with blessings. Wow. Now that’s great, isn’t it? A hundred times more. Plus the Lord’s favor and blessings. But wait, there’s more. That’s not all.
David [00:07:25]:
And the man became great and gained more and more until he became very wealthy and distinguished. He owned flocks, herds, and a great supply of servants. And the Philistines envied him. Verse 13. In the King James version says, and the man waxed great and went forward and grew until he became very great. He waxed great and grew until he became very he was great, and then he became very great. In the Hebrew, the phrase wax great there means to increase, to advance, to be promoted, to exceed, to tower over. The phrase very great means speedily, quickly, and rapidly.
David [00:08:16]:
This didn’t take decades. It didn’t take a lot of years. This happened to speedily, quickly, and rapidly. What we see here is Isaac is a perfect example of increasing more and more and more. Even in the midst of a famine, he walked in God’s abundant blessing. And just like Isaac, God causes his blessing and favor to come on us. It doesn’t matter what situation you are facing. It doesn’t matter what the economy is doing.
David [00:08:51]:
It doesn’t matter where you are or who you are. God is working in your behalf because you are his child. We are all empowered to be more and more and more, and then more. This is exactly what God wants for us this year, and I believe every year beyond. As I said before, you will see greater things than these. Amen. Amen. God wants to do greater things than these.
David [00:09:25]:
In you, through you, for you and with you. Psalm 100 1511, verse eleven through 15 says this, you who fear the Lord, trust in the Lord. He is their help and their shield. The Lord has been mindful of us. He will bless us. He will bless the house of Israel. He will bless the house of Aaron. He will bless those who fear the Lord, both small and great.
David [00:09:54]:
May the Lord give you increase more and more, you and your children. May you be blessed by the Lord who made heaven and earth. There in psalm 115, the phrase more and more in the Hebrew means to continue to add over and above. In other words, the increase just keeps multiplying. God wants to go over and above for us this year. He wants to continue to add to us more and more and more and more. If, like Abraham, we listen for his direction and obey the Lord’s voice, what he speaks to us, if we keep his charge, his commands, his statutes, his laws, his instruction, his direction, then we will see that blessing of more and more and more. You might be thinking, but, David, is this really for us? Now, I see it in scripture, and I see where the Lord said it to Abraham and to Isaac.
David [00:11:07]:
But is it really for us? Are we a part of all this today? Well, Paul gives us some insight into that in the book of Galatians. Galatians 326 through 29. Now listen to this carefully. Paul says this for you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ to put on Christ, there is neither jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free. There is neither male nor female. You are all one in Christ Jesus.
David [00:11:52]:
And if you are Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed and heirs according to the promise. There you go, guys. If we’re in Christ, then we are Abraham’s seed and heirs according to the promise. All that God promised Abraham, all that they had a covenant together that surrounded everything, is ours today because we are Abraham’s seed and heirs according to the promise. Because we are in Christ. Did you hear that? Are you hearing what I’m saying? If you are Christ, if you’ve accepted Christ as your savior, invited him into your heart, then you are Abraham’s seed and heirs according to the promise. And that promise is for eternity. It’s forever.
David [00:12:46]:
It’s never ending. Just like Isaac. As children of Abraham, we are favored and blessed also. You can get up every day declaring, I am the favorite of the Lord. I am blessed of the Lord. I have a covenant with El Shaddai, the all sufficient one, the God of more and more and more and more. God’s power and provision is more than enough to meet any need that you have. God’s nothing worried about how much it costs or what you need.
David [00:13:21]:
All he looks for is, are you believing and receiving from me? Are you walking in faith with me, trusting me? He is the all sufficient one. He is infinite in every way. He is always more than enough. Everything God does is over the top. More than enough. A surplus, super abundant, overflowing, good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over. There is more and more and then there’s more and more and then there’s even more and more. Above that, there is no end to it.
David [00:13:59]:
More never stops. God is always more than enough. He is a more God. Always. All we have to do is get up every day expecting it, looking for it, knowing that God is working in our life to bring about more for us. Kanye and I have experienced this. This year. We sowed a seed last year and we were believing for a hundred fold return on it.
David [00:14:29]:
We didn’t know where it was going to come from or how it was going to come. But it came. It came. And now the tithe on that seed is way beyond what we sowed. My, my, my. Look what God is doing. Look what God has done. He brought more.
David [00:14:55]:
You know, I was praying several years ago, I was just praying, worshiping the Lord one day, and I said, father God, I’m looking so forward to the day that I’m in eternity. I’m in heaven with you, and I know everything there is to know about you. Wow. And I heard this, David, you’ll never know everything there is to know about me. And I went, what? And he said, who am I? I said, well, you’re God. He goes, right. Who am I? And I said, oh, you’re omnipotent. You’re omnipresent, you’re omniscient, you’re infinite.
David [00:15:39]:
You’re always beyond. You’re new every day. And when I said that you’re new every day, he said, that’s right, there’ll always be something new to know about me, something new to discover, because I’m always more and more and more and more. Wow. Think about that, everyone. We’re going to be growing and becoming more ourselves because we’re created in his image and our father God’s going to be becoming more, and we’re going to be knowing him new every day throughout eternity. And we’re going to be knowing ourselves new every day throughout eternity. He is ever new and never ending.
David [00:16:25]:
Psalm 60 819 says this, blessed be the Lord, who daily loads us with benefits. The God of our salvation, Selah, which means stop and think about that. Ponder that. Meditate on that. He daily loads us with benefits. Blessed be the Lord, our God. Benefits, there in the Hebrew means acts of grace. He daily blesses us and loads us with acts of grace.
David [00:17:04]:
It also means reward. It can mean reward. He daily loads us with reward. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. That is God’s heart for his children. That is God’s heart for you.
David [00:17:19]:
He wants to load you daily with his benefits, with his rewards, with his acts of grace, his acts of favor. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. That word grace there in scripture means his favor toward us. And so he wants that favor to flow to us daily. Not only that, he’s the God of our salvation. The word salvation there means deliverance. Welfare, prosperity, victory, deliverance.
David [00:17:54]:
He’s delivered you from death. He’s delivered you from the evil one. He’s given you life. He’s given you welfare, a future. He wants you to fare well and do well. He’s blessed you. He’s given you prosperity. And that’s not just prosperity financially.
David [00:18:13]:
That’s prosperity in every area of your life. Peace of mind, peace in your soul, peace in your relationships. Hallelujah. Every dimension of your life. He is blessed, and he’s given you victory. We are more than overcomers. We are victorious through our Lord Jesus Christ. Hallelujah.
David [00:18:37]:
That salvation, he saved us, delivered us from the enemy. He’s saving us today and keeping us from the evil one. And all the influence of evil around us. And we will be saved on the day that we step into eternity. And the presence of evil is totally gone. It’s not around us at all anymore. And we walk in that perfect peace of being with our father God and our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. Hallelujah.
David [00:19:08]:
Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. This has been God’s heart from the beginning. Genesis 128. I know you’re familiar with this, but let’s look at it again. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, be fruitful and multiply.
David [00:19:29]:
Fill the earth and subdue it. Have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth. Now, the word multiply here in Genesis 128 is the same hebrew word translated increase. Throughout the Old Testament, it could read, be fruitful and increase. God is looking for us to increase and increase and increase. We’re always growing. We’re always being more in every dimension of our life. He is the God of increase.
David [00:20:08]:
Increase is his will, his plan for us. More and more and more and more. Look for it. Get up every day, expecting it. As I said a few minutes ago, come on, let’s believe God for more. In 2024, our God is the God of eternal increase. If we live according to his plan, he will increase us more and more and more and more eternally. Now, there are four characteristics of our father God I want to share with you today before we close out.
David [00:20:46]:
And the number one is this. You know this, but I want to remind you, he is power and provision. Our father God is power and provision. And Paul said this in Philippians 419 and my God will liberally supply and fill to the full your every need according to his riches and glory in Christ Jesus, as from the amplified translation. And my God will liberally supply filled to the full your every need according to his riches and glory in Christ Jesus. He is power and provision. Second, in great compassion he sustains us. He nourishes us and protects us.
David [00:21:35]:
Philippians four, six, seven. Just a few verses before says this. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving. Let your request be made known to God and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds. In Christ Jesus, that word supplication there means prayer and seeking prayer and asking. Supplication is seeking and asking God in great compassion, he sustains us, nourishes us and protects us. He’s there to give us his peace. Hallelujah.
David [00:22:25]:
Guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Third, in our weakness, he gives us strength. In our weakness, he gives us strength. I want to look at this in Isaiah 40, verses 28 through 31, and it says, have you not known, have you not heard of the Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth? He does not faint or grow weary. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint and to him who has no might.
David [00:23:03]:
He increases strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted. But they who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles. They shall walk and run and not be weary. And they shall walk and not faint. Hallelujah. Now that word wait there doesn’t mean just to hang out and just hang around.
David [00:23:34]:
It means to serve. It means to worship those who worship the Lord. Those who serve the Lord shall renew their strength. It means to actually be intertwined with him. Kind of like when you’re holding a baby and the baby’s all wrapped up around you and you’re all wrapped up around the baby. God wants to hold you close to him and you hold him close to you. And in those moments he strengthens us. He renews our strength and our strength flows into us and we mount up with wings like eagles.
David [00:24:10]:
We’re ready to soar, we’re ready to fly, we’re going to run, we’re not going to be weary and we’re going to walk and not faint, because he renews us. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. The Lord our God is there giving us strength in our weakness. And the fourth thing here he works through us to accomplish his great and powerful purposes. I shared this with you last year. We taught on this several weeks. We studied this first.
David [00:24:41]:
Ephesians 320 in the amplified, says this now to him who by and in consequence of the action of his power that is at work within us, is able to carry out his purpose and do super abundantly, far over and above all that we dare ask or think infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, dreams. The God of all presence, the God of all power, the God of all provision, desires to work in us and through us to work with us. To work for us. I’ve got great news for everyone who’s listening today. No matter where you are in life and no matter who you are, there is always more and more of God available to you. More and more available to you. It doesn’t matter how many years you’ve been a Christian or how many times you’ve read your Bible. There’s always more of God to discover and know.
David [00:25:48]:
Let us get up every day, the rest of this year, the next six months, expecting more, more and more. And then some more. More finances, more healings, more miracles, more outpourings, more people coming to Jesus. More, greater things than these happening in our lives each and every day. Amen. Bow your heads in prayer with me today. Father God, we come before you and we thank you, Lord, that you are El Shaddai, a God who’s more than enough, a God who is all sufficient. You increase us more and more and more and more.
David [00:26:41]:
I thank you for doing that. I thank you for everyone who’s listening, that you increase them more and more and more, them and their children. And father, I pray that everyone listening today be blessed by you, Lord, who made heaven and earth. And we come together in agreement and say, Lord, we ask that your kingdom come, your will be done here in the earth as it is in heaven. And do that through us, Father God, that we may represent you well here in the earth. And we declare that we listen for your voice so that we may heed it and do whatever you show us and tell us in Jesus name. So be it. Amen.
